Uralla Central School has positioned itself within the New England area as a learning community that embraces change and innovation. Not change for the sake of change, but rather change to improve the learning outcomes and opportunities for all. Strong partnerships have been forged with Central Schools across the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales and links with the University of New England are being strengthened with programs targeted at all students in our Senior School as well as very positive Indigenous mentoring programs. Students represent their school and community in a wide range of cultural, civic, academic and sporting activities. The consistent focus of the school leadership team has been to create a culture where each and every member of the school is continually improving, where none of us is standing still in the mistaken belief that we cannot get better. We can provide facilities and opportunities but in the end the willingness to accept these is the choice of each individual. As always I urge all members of our community to aspire to this belief of self-betterment and to display compassion, dignity and humanity in all that they do. As Uralla men and women we should always stand tall and walk proud.
